Covid-19 / Pakistan Port Operations

Category: Announcement , COVID-19

Despite official lock down in the country against COVID-19 spread, the Essential Services including Port & Shipping operations at both the main Pakistani ports of Karachi and Port Qasim remain functional. With extremely reduced resources and diminished work hours of Port and Custom Authorities, all the activities being conducted in the order of National priority.

Though Port movements are presently operative, yet this remains vulnerable to developing pandemic condition in the Country every passing day. Meanwhile, last week the Government had already suspended the flight operation for all International routes, provisionally for 2 weeks upto 4th April 2020, thus no Crew Change or Embarkation/Disembarkation of any Inspector/Superintendent is presently possible at local ports.
